+Petite Signature+ Cinderella by zoro-swordsman +Petite Signature+ Cinderella by zoro-swordsman
Here's a Petite Signature Cake of Cinderella. I realize the color of her frosting dress is off from the plastic part but that color is a pain to mix and match up properly. Thus far, this is probably the best looking one I've made so far.

adding a little red would have gotten that colour.

The fact that you got the icing to match pretty closely with her outfit above is totally awesome. I have so many issues with getting the right colors for icing, so I know how difficult it is. Still, great job!!

You're very welcome... and yes, there are so many times I wish I could just buy colored fondant, lol, but mixing it to get the right colors is the fun part.

:D I would like Brill (the company we use for icings) to make a non-fading Purple buttercream... they have a whipped topping based lavander but not the regular buttercream.

But you're right mixing colors is the fun part because of some of the colors you come up with~

I was taught a way to make a shade of purple that doesn't fade too much by one of the Brill cake techs:
Mix one part BRILLiant Pink to one part BRILLiant Blue and you get a sort of grape color. It's pretty and you can add White Buttercream to it to make it lighter (but it fades more the lighter you go).

Wow, that's pretty cool. I was always just using the purple dye directly. I guess this is another way of doing it. Thanks so much! I'll definitely give it a shot sometime...

Actually the icing was already blue but I did add some edible violet airbrush dye to get that color. I think I took about ten minutes on it, maybe a little more.

Thankies so much!

Thank ya kindly my dear~ :D

There's actually not a lot. It was getting hard to make the upward spatula marks towards the top because the icing was so thin near the plastic piece.
