Still Alive Y'all!

Hi everyone!

I was tooling around here and noticed that I've been a part of Deviant Art for 17 years! Egads, that's a long time and I know my activity here slowed waaaay down quite a few years ago.


Hell, I'm not even sure if anyone I know from back then is still on here but if y'all are... :hugs:


One huge update (well, two actually, I guess)

I quite Albertsons back in 2021 after 24 years in the grocery industry. I was so done with it to be honest and a lot of bullshit happened there at the end.

So I took a year off as a semi-retired person and enjoyed life as much as I could without having a steady income (thank gawd for savings, right?)

However, I came back to the work life September of last year in the form of an independent bakery as a cake decorator. It's ideal as in I don't have to help customers, answer phones or take orders. Coming up on a year there come September 1st so hopefully I'll continue to like it.


I suppose that's all I'll submit for now~ (nice to see a phone app for this site 😅)

Moving Again!

So as the title says, I am moving again at the beginning of next month. The house is maaaaybe a 1/4 packed (we have A LOT of stuff) but I'm fairly quick at packing. Not sure where we are going to end up though, but it's likely we'll be moving to Signal Hill (right next to Long Beach). We're hoping to be moved in by early Fall if all goes right (there's a lot of familial drama going on) so I'm going to try and get Christmas cards out as early as I can so you all will have the new address to go by (i'll also note y'all).

I'm surrounded by boxes and it sucks. I really don't want to move, I like where i live. Oh well, I'm fairly good at adapting so here's hoping. It'll be an even further drive to work for me and my Grandma will be moving in with us. We will be closer to Daniel's parents since they're getting up there in age and their health is not as it used to be. It's going to be hard but i will make it work.

Bear with me if i come here to rant, I can't exactly do it on any other social media~

Well, back to packing and laundry~

Hi There!

So i'm trying to get my butt back here and posting stuff again and trying to be a more active member of this community. It's great to see my friends here are still here :hug: 

Not a whole helluva lot has happened since the last journal entry aside from work work work... My husband Kambei77 and I celebrated our first anniversary back in November and that's awesome~ 

This July I'll be celebrating 20 years in the grocery industry (like holy frack) and I'm amazed I've lasted as long as I have. It was my first job and has technically been my only job since I was 16. 

I've gotten into building Gundam models despite not really even watching any of the shows. They're kinda relaxing to build to be honest even though a couple of them gave me some hell in the building process.

Still an anime fan of sorts. I still need to catch up to One Piece (HOMG I'M SO BEHIND), been keeping up with Gintama and kinda sad to see it's approaching its end. I've expanded my anime horizons to sports anime like Haikyu!, Free!!, and Yuri!!! On Ice (all the !!!!!) and i finished watching a series called My Little Monster which was cute. 

Sadly not collecting the PinkySt.s anymore although I don't think they're even made anymore to be honest. I have acquired a few new Nendoroids and Figmas though but it's mostly the Gundam models that have taken over.

So yeah, that's about it thus far.

Life... We all have one, at least I hope we do~ Life can sure throw wrenches into what we love to do and really mess with us sometimes.
The point of this mini, poor excuse for a thesis is to say that I have not completely given up on here and now that wedding things are settled, maybe just maybe, I can get back to being here more often than I have these past years.
I thank dearly those who have kept with me for all this time that I've been gone, I do appreciate it immensely.

I am now a married woman as of November 15th 2015 to Kambei77
It was a beautiful ceremony despite me being nervous as hell and the reception was a blast! I shall post some pictures I got soon enough~ It was hard to plan this wedding without mom here but i know she was with us in spirit. We had our honeymoon in Tokyo for a week (Akihabara to be specific). That was so much fun!
Work is the same old crap though i did get to be acting manager for 6 months since my manager was out on surgical leave. That was crazy... to say the least...
Still into anime, manga and the such~ I joined a gym in August to get somewhat fit for the wedding and afterwards, though I haven't been for a few weeks... I'm trying to get back in to routine after wedding, honeymoon, Thanksgiving, my birthday but it's proving to be a smidge difficult...
Other than the major life changing event called marriage, there really hasn't been anything else exciting to really touch upon so at this time I would like to thank everyone here again for being my friend and i hope to 'see' you all soon!

My utmost and sincere apologies for being so scarce on here!

Wedding plans are going okay, I do have my dress. I ended up not using my mom's dress after all but I'm hoping to incorporate some part of it into my bouquet. Daniel and I went to see a venue option today and there's a high possibility that it might be the one we use but we are still going to keep looking just in case something better comes up.

The holidays are here and it's going to be very... odd. I'm not sure if that's even the right word to say but it's just not going to be the same... My home address has changed~ I am living with my fiancé down the street from where I grew up! That said, expect a note for Christmas cards soon~ it'll be great to get them at the new house~

Mom got her headstone finally (back in August) and it looks pretty~

Daniel and I went to Japan for two weeks last month! It was soooo much fun! I took over 700 pictures (including videos), I'll post some really pretty scenery and such soon~ We had such a blast! :excited: So that's one thing off our bucket lists~
